Not that it really matter to me ........LOL.......But its still a good day .....Bunny and mouse day and feeding day ..Woo hooo ....My mom is going off for 3 weeks to house sit I don't know what I am going to do with out her ....who will cook for me and Laurel ?????

Bunny breeding is going very well I just wish I had a bigger place to bred them then maybe I could share ......I am producing enough for myself right now plus freezing plenty for a rainy day ......I wonder how much it cost to get another shed and start up another 15 girls ...something to think about for sure ....maybe next summer I will be able to do that as well as add another 100 mouse cages then maybe I will be totally self sufficient ...oh wouldn't that be nice to never have to buy another rodent ....I think I an going to add a few more ASF tanks and cull more Hamsters because they seem to be breeding well for me and the hamsters really not so much ....what i need is just more room .....aggghhhhh....I need to win the lottery .......well this weeks is 30 mil .....fingers crossed ........LOL

Taken it day to day .....

Well its rainy out today and my head isn't taken it very well ....I am so sick of migraines its not funny ......Friday was a bad one .........then off to the girls weekend ...which was good but could always be better if my head was in the right place ......I don't think I am going to the next one ....it seems the I bring out the bad in one of my girls after she is smashed and I would rather not .....so maybe its time I'll take one or 2 off ...... Anyway .....today is a slow one so I thought I would pick a fight on the internet with my "stalker " who isn't playing very nice ......I guess he might be a lil smarter then I give him credit for ...oh well time will tell and if it's not me it will be someone else he will loose his noodle over ..... its just fun when I am feeling a lil down .....

Otherwise all the babies are doing well and I am just waiting for one more clutch to hatch of Enchi Balls ...hopefully I will have some females in there .... I will be putting the colubrids into brumation in about 3 weeks then I can work on my website, start breeding my Indigos and maybe get eggs this yr fingers crossed ......I have a few new things up and coming so I am fairly happy with this coming seasons out look ......One can only hope ..The economy took a hit on me ..snakes are really a need if you know what I mean but I am still hanging in there ...So fingers crossed for me guys .....

Back at last ....

Well lots to tell ....My Bon Bon is all recovered and back at work and doing great except her Walter is working in Calgary and left her all alone at home with 3 rotten kids and tons of reptiles to look after .....Bad Walter Bad ... But knowing Bonnie she is making it all work and doing it with a big smile on her face ......

The show season is over thank god ...I did almost 5 shows back to back which damn well near killed me but a made it through ...the season was a lil slow in sales but Ill make it through I always do .I don't know how but I will pull another yr out and persevere ...... The Red Deer show was great I made good money and had a great time ...the TARAS show ..well lets just move on ......the CRBE was an adventure and I got to see Ruth and Jeff and meet allot of people out east so it wasn't a total loss ....the BCRC show was great .....I made good money and had a great time ..stayed with Beth and Kevin which was wonderful .....the ERAS show was great and I made good money and had a great time ...Laurel sold her 1st gecko and we stayed with Scott and Shannon which was very nice not to have to hotel it ....so all in all 3 out of 5 isn't bad .....

It looks like weather wise we have totally skipped over fall and dove right into winter which totally sucks ....I HATE SNOW !!!! it is going to be nice this weekend and its a girl weekend this weekend so Shauna and Tammy are coming out and it should be a very nice time .I am hoping we can go visiting and spend the time catching up and do a lil drinking ....... Ill Let you guys know how it goes and I promise Ill keep this up .... I know I keep saying that but now that I am getting into hibernation mode due to the weather it will be easier to be attached to the computer more ......

Mouse day

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!????????

Well more mousein .....I guess ......This is one of my least favorite jobs that I do ....I know ...I know .....good mousein means healthy snakes but I hate cleaning them and cleaning them and cleaning them .....But Ill do it with a smile because it means the more I produce on my own the more I don't have to buy but I really wish I could hire some one to do my mousein for me.... that's one of my wishs for the day ...

Was talking to Walter today and my Bon Bon is in the hospital for her gall bladder ......I am so worried about her so I am waiting buy the phone right now to see if she needs surgery or not .......my other wish for the day is for Bonnie not to need surgery ...If she does I will be heading to Red Deer a day early to help out with the show and anything else Walter may need .....This waiting around stuff is crap if you ask me ....Why is it hospitals always have you waiting around to give you news about your health don't they realize that the longer you wait the more freaked out you and your loved ones get ....man I just don't get that ......Well I better go wait some more and hope all is well with my friend ........

Well today is another blah day with the weather ......where oh where did our summer go ....It feels like fall already and Aug. isn't even over yet ........ I miss the sun !!!!!!!

I am slowly but surly getting ready for the show season starting with the Red Deer show at the end of the month ...It should be a good one ..I hope to have several babies ready for sale ....its really to bad Ruth and Jeff from Hanny's Corns wont be attending this year we always have a good time together ....Your guys will be missed ......I am starting my 2nd clutching right now .......yeah I know it late but so was my 1st so I am hoping that it wont me much of a problem .....I still have about 78 1st clutches to hatch and Ill the really neat stuff is in about 2 weeks so i doubt Ill be bringing any of that to the the show unless it sheds and east right away ....... Crazy Weather or what

Well ......again its been days or is it weeks since I blogged ......Sorry ....I know ....I know .......I promise I will be better .....

This summer has been crazy with weather and such my clutches have been late in breeding and late in hatching ......I doubt Ill have any Kings and not to many Milks .......But I should have tons of Corns and I have started hatching out my Green Trees which I totally LOVE ......Ill post some more pics tomorrow of all the babies that have hatched so far but here are some Green Trees .

Well its been awhile ...........I had every intention of keeping this up at least every second day but things have not gone well here with my health and I have been getting so behind lately ......I have to go for an ultrasound for my shoulder on Monday to see just how bad I screwed it up and have been into physo every week which is helping but not like I was hoping that's for sure ......I am up to 25 clutches out of my Corns , 2 clutches out of my Balls , 1 clutch out of my Green trees so things are going well but I just feel very behind and once babies come I better be 100% or I will be in trouble .....Anyways here are some Green Tree pics I took today ........Enjoy!!!!!

Well off to the Edmonton show this weekend .....WOOOHOOO........should be great weekend ....Physo tomorrow for my shoulder I wonder what they will do to me this time ???? Hopefully I will sell off the rest of my babies and then have room for the ones to come in the summer it looks like to be a great yr ..... Ill keep you all posted on my physo progress as it goes now maybe Ill be able to use my right side by the end of July ...LOL .....If I am lucky :o)

Another B-Day

Well another B-Day come and gone ..........this one was the big 40 guys .....yes I said it 4...0... scary ......and on top of that I got glasses to boot .........Now I am really old .......And I ripped my right rota tor cuff fixing my deck for the party so I have been in pain for the last 2 1/2 weeks and have to go to physo .......so how old do I feel right about now .....well about 40 .....lol...... So things here are getting really busy I am abit behind in my breeding so I better get a move on and get my colubrids in the mood or my yr will totally suck ...oh and to top all of the good stuff my son totaled his car last night ...he's ok but his car is not .......man this 40 crap is hard work :o)

Well I hope it is ...I have posted my final words about the BOI thing on the BOI this am I am hoping I will not have to post any more on the matter as it has taken up way to much of my time ......All I can say is if you want to read it check out my Who's Who Blog or the BOI for the update ....

Well Easter was great ...my daughter had a blast searching for eggs and the supper my mom made was GREAT .....I get turkey for a week now ..WHOO WHOO .....I love turkey .....Oh and chocolate which we have tons of thanks to the Easter Bunny .....Man LOVE that Easter Bunny ....

Its another rodent day today so I better get on it .....I hope everyone had a GREAT Easter ;O)

Well its been abit since I have posted on here .....Things have been crazy ! I am trying to catch up with my cleaning and now that all the colubrids are out of brumation I guess the fun is just starting .....I hope to have a stellar yr this yr and maybe a record number of babies produced which would be great .....

As most of you know I have been dealing with a lil stress issue over on the BOI with you know who and I have got to say after the last email from his "lawyer" things are looking bleak for any type of settlement .....I am so shocked ......LOL .... We all knew how this was going turn out .....you got it ........Annette getting the shaft ...... Oh well at least people know just what type of a$$ this guy is and maybe it will keep some from being ripped off down the road ......

Bunny Day

Well I think I am finally caught up with my rodents ....Bunnies were cleaned today and I took some pics of the lil ones ....they are so cute to bad they are food ....I am having very good luck with my breeding ....I have 15 females and 3 males for breeders and I seem to be able to have at least 4 litters on the ground per month ....I am really hoping that I can sustain myself and not have to buy bunnies anymore .....

The BOI ......Well what can I say but Thank You to all who are posting in my favor .....I am really happy to see that most people out there have their heads on straight ...I have been told to keep my fingers shut for the time being as today I really did make myself out to be a dumb a$$ as one of my favorite people like to call me ......I guess lack of sleep and stress has my mind running at top speed and what I meant to say on the BOI today didn't come out right that's for sure .......

Thank god people are forgiving because I really needed to give my head a shake ....I tend to go into details when I really don't need to and today was detail stupid .......I guess I am just in defense over drive and I am taking to heart all the BS that's been implied by some about me and looking for issues where there really are none ......I find once you have been put on the BOI for something negative it controls your whole universe ....well at least for me it does .....I know I shouldn't worry so much but I do and always have ....I even have been known to over analyze things abit ....lol.....I guess what it comes down to is like I have said several times before ....I didn't want this ....not at all ....... I know everyone is well meaning that is posting in favor of me but what most don't get is that I will never be compensated for any of the time and money I put into those snakes and that I could have made an invoice for a fraction of what I did and he still would have not paid me ....that's just who this guy is .....I over looked allot of it while we were "friends" because I enjoyed being friends with his wife so much ....But really the guy is a scumbag and no matter what I wont see a penny from him ....People say stranger things have happened .......and yes they have .....I guess we will have to wait and see how this all unfolds .... :o)

Another Mouse Day

Well I don't have much to say today as I should be doing mice all day but low and behold there has been a thread on the BOI started about me .......I wonder who could have started that .......LOL.....So as you can see by my lack of posting on my blogs I have been dealing with that ......

As many of you know I didn't want this ...... as far as I can see the person that started the thread is not looking to good right about now and I have a feeling it will only get worse as more people join in .....did I say I did NOT want this ....This is the reason I didn't post on the BOI in the first place .....everything gets turned around and things get brought up that don't have anything to do with the main problem ..like what has been happening in this thread ........Can anyone say off topic ..... I guess I can see this persons side of things about being pissed off but I really only started my Who's Who blog on this person as a therapy tool for myself as the rumors were digging into my head and getting the best of me ....The other negative post about certain people/business were and will be put there to keep our community informed of people they in my opinion should be careful of .....

BUT.....I also started the Who's Who because I wanted to give the people a pat on the back that I felt deserved one in our community ..... I wanted these people to know that I value my friendship with them and my business dealings ...... I wanted to share with others so they could have good dealings as well .......

What a weekend

Well I am finally recovered from my girls weekend and its only Wed. .....lol.....We had a great time .... We were in Calgary all weekend ......I tried my hardest to keep up with the girls but they are seasoned drinkers where I am not ......I got my nails done by my Tammy who is doing nails for a living now ......I have posted some pics of my hands .....its a lil hard to get use to them but not to bad .....Not to much to say today as i am now behind abit on my cleaning and feeding .......Hope you all have a great day ...If any of you ladies want your nails done let me know and Ill get Tammy up here :o)

Mouse Day

Well today is mouse day ......mouse cleaning is one of the jobs I dislike the most but it has to be done ....keeping good care of your rodents is a HUGE part of having a healthy snake collection .....I have 150 tanks of mice 1.3 per tank ...I keep Hamsters , ASF's and Rabbits as well... yet I still have to buy rodents (which I do from The Canadian Mouseman Ty Smith see Who's Who's Blog for info) just to keep up with my snakes demand ...... I use about 1500 mice a month between my to Colubrid collections and that's not counting what I feed to my Boids .....Crazy I know ....Here is a pic of the rodent set up and Rabbit set up .....Its allot of work but if I didn't do it I wouldn't be able to keep as many snakes as I do :o)

Gong show day

Well yesterday was a total gong show ....I had to get my sons car into the shop to be checked out and fixed so he could drive it back to Calgary .....appt was at 9am .......well someone had slashed his rear tire so we have to take off the tire do into town and get a new one then come back put it on then drive his car back into town .....So he got this car for nothing ..well let me tell you that nothing is for free ....what I though was going to be a few hundred to fix is now at 1000.00 .......new breaks , new rad , needs this and that .....man oh man ........so hopefully I will be able to pick it up tomorrow ......oh and I guess the guy I got it from had used a rubber stopper in the oil pan so they had to fix that too ........beware of people giving you things like cars there is always a reason they are for free ........

So I didn't get much done yesterday ......today is the start of wake up for one of my rooms of Corns ......So the work is really gonna start in about 2 weeks .......I caught more Green Trees breeding ...... both are Aru to Aru .and Chad High Yellow is still going at it ......I think I should have a good Green Tree year ....Hoggs are breeding so are Rainbows .......I caught my Amazons cuddling this am so there is hope there and my Maddies are doing the same .......I have my fingers cross big time for those .....Here are a couple of Green Tree pics .....Hope you all have a great day :o)

Head case

Well not to much going on today ......woke up with a nasty migraine which has kept me from doing big jobs ......I got 2 male Green Trees on breeding loan from Chad and Candice .......a very nice High Yellow Biak to breed with one of my Wameana girls and a very blue Aru to breed back to his sister for more blue in my lines ......I also brought a Salmon male home from Dan to breed with one of my Lemke Hogg girls ....I know before you even say it ( what the hell am I doing) ...keep your pants on I will always have 2 pure Lemke lines of Hogg Islands for the rest of you .... Its just I really want to make some Sunset Boas ...I saw those in Daytona the 1st year I went down and man oh man are they HOT...... So yeah for all you purest out there I am going to do it ....... just for myself ..... But...If anyone else is interested in these "mutants" I will be producing let me know I am sure there will be a few to go around .....I might even throw an Albino in the mix one day ..........hehehehe.......
So for today I will be putting back all my snakes together for some more lovin ......I am still working on figuring this Blog thing out so if I can I will be posting pictures of breeding here as well .....

As a side note I guess some people are offended by my blogs ???? Whats up with that ???

So for my 1st post since today is kinda one of those days ...... I am going to dispel any and all rumors floating around about myself .......some are just for fun and some have merit....I leave it up to you to decide which is which ......

Rumors -

1st and foremost the rumor that has been floating around since Oct/08 started by a certain someone (see who's who for those details) that I starve my Ball pythons ......This is a total lie ...I mean, come on, I plan on breeding these animals. Why on earth would I starve them .........here is my feeding schedule for my female Balls to get them to breeding size ......

These are my thoughts on feeding females to get them to breeding size

It has been brought to my attention due to an unethical breach of a business breeder loan contract by the other party that my husbandry and feeding schedule is less then adequate ......So I have decided to lay all out for everyone to see including the parties that think I am not doing what I should .... Or want to pretend that I have wronged them by not looking after breeder loan animals ........

1st of all....... I DO NOT believe in power feeding females of any kind as it doesn't do the females any good ...I feel it is just the greed of the breeder to get the females as big as they can as fast as they can so they can make their money back without any regard as to what they are doing to the animals ....... I feed my babies 1 appropriate food item once every 7 days until they can take 2 ...then once they have reached 2 ......I change them to the bigger food item .... I do this until they get big enough to reach rat size then I switch them up to bigger food items (rats / bunnies) as needed normally doubling growth in the last yr or yr and 1/2 .....
For Colubrids on this schedule I can raise a female to breeding size in just over 2 yrs ......For Boas and Pythons depending on what type I normally can raise a female to breeding size in 3-4 yrs ..... I like to see my Ball females at least 2000 grms and 3 yrs before I breed them .....I like to see my Colubrid females at least 350 - 400 grms and at least 2.5 yrs ......I like to see my ground Boas (I don't weigh these guys and I only keep smaller species) at least eating 1/2 - 1 lb rabbits and 4 yrs .....I like to see my tree snakes (I don't weight these either ) eating small to med rats and 4-5 yrs depending on the species (ex: Basins are 5 yrs) ...
I know that there are implications going around and I hope this answers a lot of questions by people who hear these implications ......

I know there are several ways to raise a female for breeding and a lot of people would say that with Ball Pythons you can have your females reach breeding size at 2 yrs or even 18 months I have heard ....To each his own I guess .....

But I would really like to know if any of these people have + 25yr old females producing every yr or every 2nd like I do ??????? ......I am a firm believer that power feeding shortens the life span and can cause a number of other health issues .......All I can say is this is how I raise my females ...this is how I was taught to raise my females .........and this is how I will always raise my females .......and anyone doing breeder loans with me are informed of this ........

I hate to say this over and over but I have been doing this a long time ......and really, do any of you think I would be as successful in my production and my business if I was under feeding my females or not looking after them ?????? I don't think so.....as for breeding loan animals - has it occurred to the people this post is directed at ......why would I under feed an animal that I plan on making money from .....isn't that defeating my purpose ????

2nd ....I have heard... again started by this someone... that I stole from him and his business (again see details on who's who) .....Please give me a HUGE break ..........I never stole a thing from this person and for this person to even spread this is total BS and only shows that he doesn't want the real reason our business partnership fell through ........

3rd ......I have heard .....Annette is a total B!T(H ...Which, OK ........maybe true in some cases I'll admit to that .....But just because someone stands up for themselves, beliefs and friends, doesn't really make them a b!t(h does it ??????? Anyway ....I feel that I am not all the time, just when its warranted .......Hehehehe

4th .......Annette has some of the best reptiles on the market ......This is totally TRUE !!!!!! :o)

5th .......Annette is just a Corn snake breeder .......Not true .....Even though Colubrids are my bread and butter and I produce and sell more of these then anything I do breed and produce several species and color morphs of Boids .......See my price list .......All reptiles are Canadian captive bred by myself .....no imports like some other breeders out there (see who's who for more details) ........ Available

6th ...... Annette is totally crazy for doing this reptile breeding as a full time job .......This is true on some days like today :o)

and for the last .......Annette is the snake lady and is introduced as such all the time .......again totally true and you know what guys I do have a name ....... In case you have forgotten :o)
